From 1 April to 30 June, Centre Street Kitchen gratefully presents “A Taste of Japan” seafood dinner buffet, bringing guests an authentic Japanese culinary journey. Savour Japanese barbecue prepared on open grills, delectable sushi and sashimi, cooked to order ramen noodles and Okonomiyaki, complemented with a fine selection of desserts to further enhance your dining experience.
The journey begins with much sought-after Robatayaki, including Grilled Wagyu Beef Skewer, Grilled Unagi (freshwater eel), Grilled Dried Globefish, Grilled Prawn, Grilled Beef Tongue, Grilled Hokke and Sanma Fish. Most dishes need just a simple sprinkling of salt to bring out the ingredients’ natural flavours. With a beautiful golden colour, the surfaces are crispy and fragrant, leaving the inside juicy and moist. Food items are served on a rotation basis and subject to seasonality.
Indulge in a warm bowl of ramen noodles made with miso base with dried scallop, pork-bone base with sesame oil or prawn bisque-like soup base with chili oil. You can also choose from a wide array of toppings: Japanese Chashu (Pork Belly), Japanese Pork Tender Rib or Grilled Soy-Glazed Chicken. The delicious broth gives it intense flavour, richness and depth while the tasty ramen noodles with a chewy texture give flair to the soup.
Other popular highlights include Japanese Okra Salad with Pomelo and Chicken, Roasted Japanese Pumpkin and Tofu Salad, alongside a wide range of Japanese delicacies featuring Fried Rice with Cheese and Burdock Root in Japanese Style, Deep-Fried Shrimp Balls in Matcha Broth, Okonomiyaki topped with Dried Scallop and Ramen, and Pork Sukiyaki in Curry Sauce.
To help ensure a memorable finale, the dessert counter showcases delightful sweets such as freshly made Japanese Black Sugar and Matcha Warabi-Mochi, Éclair with Salt Pickled Sakura, Japanese Cream Cheesecake with Pomelo, Matcha Mille Crepe Cake, Saka Mousse Cake with White Peach, Egg Waffle Flavoured with Hojicha and Steamed Rice Dumpling with Sakura.
